This participation comes within the framework of the academic partnership that the Institute seeks to develop with several universities and international institutions. It is also in line with its vision of providing quality educational opportunities for students of the Faculty, and connecting them with leading international expertise and academic initiatives in the fields of international humanitarian law, human rights, and international criminal justice.

The academic programme of the Summer School addressed a range of advanced topics, including the jurisdiction and functioning of the International Criminal Court, the crime of aggression, war crimes, genocide, investigation and trial procedures, transitional justice, reparations for victims, and the future of the International Criminal Court. These topics were presented through sessions delivered by judges of the International Criminal Court, officials from the Office of the Prosecutor, academics, and international experts.

This participation reflects the Institute’s commitment to providing international academic opportunities that contribute to the development of the legal knowledge and practical skills of students of the Faculty, and to strengthening their engagement in international legal debates. It also contributes to preparing Palestinian legal professionals who are capable of engaging with contemporary developments in international law and participating in international academic and professional forums, within the framework of the projectestablishing the Institute that is funded by the European Union.
