The legal clinic at An-Najah National University, in cooperation with Mothers' School Society, held on Tuesday, 8 October 2024, in the Old City of Nablus a legal awareness campaign in a series of meetings entitled "E-blackmail", presented by the lawyer and legal adviser Mohammed Altrash.

At the beginning of the meeting, the Coordinator of Mother’s School Society, Ms. Aziza Hafi, welcomed the presence and commended the distinguished activities carried out by the legal clinic, stressing the importance of sustainable partnership between the parties.

The training dealt with "electronic extortion", where the lecturer explained this type of crime in accordance with the decision of the Law on Cybercrime. The lawyer of the clinic Al-Atrash reviewed the means and methods used to carry out these crimes, warning of the risks associated with them. He also addressed the legal penalties established for cybercrime and the competent authorities involved in dealing with them, stressing the need for awareness and awareness-raising on these issues.

The meeting saw a remarkable interaction from participants, where many queries about cybercrime were raised, and they were answered comprehensively by the minutes. This event is part of ongoing efforts to raise legal awareness in society and strengthen the legal protection of individuals. This campaign is part of the UNDP-supported Sawasya 3 project.
