The legal clinic at the Faculty of Law and Political Science of An-Najah National University held a series of intensive practical trainings for its students on campus and legal clinic headquarters, as part of extracurricular activities, in the framework of enhancing students' practical skills and achieving sustainable development goals. The trainings began on 13-20/10/2024, focusing on legal counseling, as students worked to provide legal counseling that mimics actual situations citizens may face. They had the opportunity to apply theoretical information in a practical context, thereby improving their ability to communicate legally and provide effective legal solutions.

Other training related to the preparation of judicial and reply regulations took place in the period of 21-31/10/2024. These activities focused on teaching students how to prepare these legal documents in accordance with the Palestinian courts. Basic legal topics such as the Palestinian Labor Code and the Owners and Tenants' Act were also addressed, as students were trained to address practical legal issues in these areas.

In addition, delivery, presentation and application skills have been developed, with the aim of enhancing students' ability to express their legal opinions clearly and effectively in front of a diverse audience. These trainings were characterized by the variety of activities that provided students with an environment similar to actual professional work, helping them to enhance their legal skills and develop a deeper understanding of legal practices. Students have also been divided into groups to work on applied activities aimed at stimulating legal reality and enhancing their understanding of case law and the mechanism for handling legal cases in practice.

These trainings are in line with many of the UN's sustainable development goals, especially Goal 16 (Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions), where they contribute to enhancing access to justice and building strong legal institutions by qualifying students with the necessary legal skills. These trainings also support young people's empowerment by giving them the opportunity to apply what they have learned in a practical environment, helping them to improve their professional and social status.

In addition, these activities are in line with Goal 4 of the Sustainable Development Goals, "Quality education", which aims to ensure quality, equitable and inclusive education and promote lifelong learning opportunities for all. Through these practical trainings, students receive a practical education that integrates theoretical knowledge with applied skills, contributing to their better preparation for the practice of the legal profession. It also encourages problem-oriented learning, which enhances students' ability to cope with real legal challenges.

These training activities are an important step towards achieving a just and inclusive society, enabling students to deal with life legal issues, thereby contributing to legal awareness and strengthening confidence in the Palestinian judicial system. It is also a practical example of how academic education can be combined with practical application in developing students' skills and enhancing their role in building a strong Palestinian society based on justice and sustainability. These efforts are part of the project to enhance the sustainability of the legal clinic at Al-Najah University, funded by Sawasya 3 program, implemented through UNDP, UN-Women and UNICEF.
