The legal clinic of the Faculty of Law and Political Science at An-Najah National University concluded an intensive training program for its students at the courts of Nablus, which lasted for five weeks and opened in 31/10/2024 and was concluded in 19/12/2024. This training came as part of the legal clinic's vision to integrate theoretical education with practical application, with the aim of preparing students for the labor market and enhancing their professional skills.

Training involves attending court hearings, identifying the mechanisms of the work of the registry, dealing with lawyers and participating in the preparation of legal files, which has contributed to enhancing students' self-confidence and breaking the barrier between the academic environment and the labor market. The students emphasized that this experience was an important milestone in their academic career, where they learned in practice about judicial proceedings and the roles of court workers, and expressed their willingness to volunteer in the future in the courts.

In turn, the legal clinic staff and the Deanship, praised the importance of these initiatives in developing legal education and expanding the prospects of students, noting that this training reflects the College's commitment to preparing a legal generation capable of meeting the challenges of the profession with confidence and competence. The staff of the legal clinic also emphasized that the program has achieved its educational and training objectives, pointing out the need for the continuity of such programs to promote the integration of theoretical and applied education.

Training contributed to the achievement of several sustainable development goals, most notably Goal IV on quality education by integrating theoretical education with practical application, Goal VIII on decent work and economic growth by enhancing students' professional skills and job readiness, and Goal XVI on peace, justice and strong institutions by enabling students to understand the legal system and their role in promoting justice. The training also focused on the development of practical legal education, which supports the empowerment of young people and the building of more efficient and equitable legal institutions that contribute to sustainable development.

The training concluded with recommendations to expand future training programs, strengthen cooperation with courts and lawyers. These efforts are part of the College's desire to provide practical and distinguished legal education that contributes to building a new generation of empowered jurists.

This training is part of a series of awareness-raising activities carried out by the legal clinic at An-Najah National University, within the project to enhance the sustainability of the legal clinic, funded by Sawasya 3 program, implemented in partnership with UNDP, UN-Women and UNICEF. These efforts aim to promote social justice and support the most vulnerable in Palestinian society, in line with the principles of sustainable development.
