
The Legal Clinic at the Faculty of Law and Political Science at An-Najah National University participated in a specialized training organized by Sawasya III – the Joint Program to Promote the Rule of Law in Palestine, held in Ramallah from May 26 to 28, 2025. The Clinic was represented by Ms. Safa Balawi, Director of the Legal Clinic, and Ms. Alaa Afaneh, Legal Assistant, alongside more than 40 participants from Sawasya’s civil society partner organizations across the West Bank.
The training, titled “Data Analysis and Communication,” aimed to strengthen participants' capacity in using SPSS software. It covered a range of technical topics including variable definition, data entry and cleaning, random sampling, cross-tabulation, data visualization, and basic inferential statistics. The sessions also addressed media strategy, message development, program identity, and effective outreach.
The training was designed to empower civil society professionals to conduct accurate analysis of beneficiary data and prepare narrative reports that reflect program outcomes and field impact. It followed a hands-on, participatory approach that combined theoretical foundations with practical exercises based on real program data. The sessions witnessed a high level of engagement and interaction, highlighting the added value of the training content and methodology.
This participation reflects the Legal Clinic’s ongoing commitment to enhancing the skills of its team in data analysis, documentation, and strategic communication contributing to the overall improvement of legal and community-based work, and reinforcing principles of justice, accountability, and transparency.
