As part of its ongoing efforts to enhance the practical and communication skills of law clinic students, the training focused on developing effective presentation skills, formulating legal messages clearly and persuasively, and building self-confidence when speaking in front of an audience, held on November 3 and 5, 2025, and delivered by Ms. Dima Al-Asi
The sessions also covered advanced topics such as body language management, voice modulation, the use of eye contact, and organizing legal ideas in a logical and professional manner, in addition to techniques for overcoming stage fright and breaking psychological barriers during presentations.
The training included interactive practical sessions in which students delivered applied presentations on various legal topics, demonstrating a high level of proficiency in applying the communication and presentation techniques they had learned. Their performances reflected strong analytical, organizational, and legal expression skills key competencies for their future professional practice.
The sessions also highlighted the importance of soft skills in the legal profession and their role in promoting good governance, social justice, and effective communication with different segments of society thereby reinforcing the role of law as a tool for achieving sustainable development. This training represented a practical model of the Legal Clinic’s commitment to providing an educational environment based on participation, experiential learning, and learning by doing.
This initiative aligns with the Legal Clinic’s vision of empowering students with the knowledge and practical skills necessary for professional readiness, in accordance with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) adopted by An-Najah National University particularly Goal 4, which focuses on providing quality, inclusive education that fosters lifelong learning, and Goal 16, which emphasizes justice, strong institutions, and the rule of law as foundations for equitable and sustainable development.
The training is part of a series of educational and awareness activities implemented by the Legal Clinic under the “Enhancing the Sustainability of the Legal Clinic” project, funded by the Sawasya III Programme and implemented in partnership with the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), UN Women, and UNICEF, with the aim of empowering students to effectively contribute to justice and sustainable development through sound and responsible legal practice.
